How to Find Exactly the Online Dual-Enrollment Information You Need in DODO
Here are some pointers for finding what you're looking for in DODO. Remember that links will lead to live content only if you are a DODO member and Logged In.
Dodo offers a few tips on finding the awesomest ONLINE dual-enrollment courses around.
First of all, DODO has three sections
Section 1: At-a-Glance Quick-Compare Charts
Section 2: University Detail Pages
- Over 100 detail pages - one per university
Section 3: The Big Course List
- One table of 7000+ recently offered courses
Where do I start?
Anywhere you want!
But here's a simple plan:
Step 1. Start with the Quick-Compare Chart that deals with your #1 requirement.
For example…
If you must have a low course price – start with the Compare Costs chart.
If you must have a specific course (say you need a Differential Equations course to boost your engineering-college application) – start with The Big Course List
If you definitely prefer a private school – start with the Compare School Basics chart.
If your main goal is getting an associate’s degree by the time you finish high school – start with the Associate’s Degree Options chart.
If your #1 requirement is a particular admissions policy– start with the Compare Admissions Requirements chart.
Step 2. Use the filters and sorting triangles to quickly find schools that match your #1 requirement.
Step 3. Add the schools that meet your requirements to the MySchools tool.
(For screenshots of how this works, see How to use MySchools Tool.)
Step 4. Now go to the Quick-Compare chart that deals with your #2 requirement.
In this chart, click the FILTER at the top of the University column. It will show the schools you selected in step 3.
Tick all the boxes.
Now the quick-compare chart will show only your selected schools.
Use the information in this second quick-compare chart to identify schools that don't meet your #2 requirement. Delete these schools from your MySchools tool.
Step 5: Repeat steps 2 to 4
... until you've researched all your 'must-have's'.
Now, MySchools shows only your best-fit dual-enrollment colleges and universities.
To research any of these schools further, click its INFO button in any quick-compare chart.
This takes you to DODO's Detail Page for that school. Here you'll find more information. Plus contact email(s) and phone number(s).
Step 6: Click any university's UNI button to go to its dual-enrollment web page.
The UNI buttons (in Quick-Compare Charts) take you to individual universities' dual-enrollment pages, so you can deal directly with the universities you're interested in.
